Home Based Head Start

Children who live in the rural areas of Harney County will be offered a preschool program which comes directly into the home. A socialization time for all the families enrolled in the program meet twice a month at the Early Childhood Center for preschool activities.

I have lived in Harney County for 38 years. I consider it home. I am married to Tony and we have three grown children and 8 grandchildren! I have worked at the preschool for the past 28 years.

Currently, I am the Home Based preschool teacher. I get the opportunity to travel all over the county and visit children in their homes, that otherwise would not get preschool. It is THE BEST JOB! I love it!
